5. Sheraldo Becker and Jordan (Union Berlin) – 9 goals Union Berlin is flying high in the Bundesliga this season. They climbed to the top of the table, gaining 17 points after 7 matches. They are also the only team in the league that has not yet tasted defeat in the 2022/23 season.
While every member gave their best, attacking duo Sheraldo Becker and Theoson-Jordan Siebatcheu, aka Jordan, were the standouts this season.
Combined, the duo has a total of 9 goals in the Bundesliga, with Becker scoring 6 goals in 7 matches and Jordan scoring 3 goals in 6 appearances.
A whopping 60% of Berlin’s goals in the Bundesliga have come from strikes by the in-form pair this season (the team’s total is 15 goals).
4. Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona) – 10 goals Ending months of anticipation, Barcelona signed Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich for a fee of 45 million euros in July. The Polish striker quickly integrated at Camp Nou, scoring epic goals for his new team.
Winger Ousmane Dembele is also in good form this season. The France star, who signed a two-year contract extension until June 2024 earlier this summer, created interesting opportunities by scoring a couple of goals himself.
Combined, the duo have scored 10 goals in La Liga this season, helping Barcelona catch up with top team Real Madrid. Lewandowski has scored eight goals so far, while Dembele has scored two after playing six La Liga matches each.
The duo’s total goals have accounted for 55.5% of Barcelona’s total in the tournament (18) so far.
3. Terem Moffi and Dango Ouattara (FC Lorient) – 10 goals While FC Lorient is unlikely to win the Ligue 1 title this season, they have shown that they are more than capable of competing for a Champions League spot.
FC Lorient have played some exciting football this season, scoring plenty of goals along the way. With 17 goals scored so far, they are the second highest scoring team in Ligue 1 this season after 8 rounds.
The formidable attacking duo Terem Moffi and Dango Ouattara were the team’s main source of scoring, contributing 10 goals (out of a total of 17, 58.9% contribution rate).
Moffi became the team’s top scorer with 6 goals while Ouattara scored 4 goals. Both strikers have played all eight matches in Ligue 1 this season.
2. Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) – 13 goals Signed from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of 60 million euros in July, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland was arguably the signing of the summer.
He scored 14 goals in 10 matches for his new team in all competitions. Eleven of those goals, including two consecutive hat-tricks, have come in seven Premier League matches.
While Haaland is the more powerful member of this duo, Bernardo Silva shows more creativity. The Portuguese maestro has scored twice in the tournament so far but has created plenty of scoring opportunities, while also providing two assists.
Manchester City, who are second in the Premier League table, have scored 23 goals in England’s top flight so far. Incredibly, 56.25% of their goals came from the Haaland-Silva pair.
1. Kylian Mbappe and Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain) – 15 goals A lot has been made of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar’s personal relationship, but the numbers prove that this duo is still as formidable as ever on the field.
They have caused all sorts of problems for opponents in the league this season, with Mbappe punishing them with his pace and Neymar with world-class creativity.
In Ligue 1, the Mbappe-Neymar couple scored 15 goals, helping PSG maintain an 8-match unbeaten streak and maintain the top spot in the table. The Brazilian striker has eight goals in as many matches so far, while Mbappe has scored seven goals in seven matches in the French first division.
The Paris team has scored 26 goals in the 2022-23 season in Ligue 1, with their two stars in attack accounting for 57.6% of the total goals.
