Haaland Laughed when Receiving a Question Implying that ‘Messi is Favored’

Man City will have a match against Copenhagen in the second leg of the 1/8 round of the Champions League at 3:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (March 7). Haaland attended the press conference before the upcoming match.
The Norwegian striker received a question about a rather delicate topic related to himself and Messi. It’s worth mentioning a bit that in the 2022-23 season, Haaland played sublimely, scoring 52 goals in 53 matches, making a big contribution to helping Man City win the treble (FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League). However, the Norwegian player lost to Messi in the race for the two most prestigious individual titles of 2023: Ballon D’Or and The Best.
A reporter asked the question:
“You scored a lot of goals, but Messi is the one who won the most important individual awards of the year, does he need to retire for you to win these individual awards?”.
Haaland laughed, giving the answer: “A good question. I do not know. He won the World Cup. In my opinion, Messi is the best player ever.”
Also in this interview, Haaland was asked a lot about his future. The 23-year-old striker said he is very happy at Man City. However, Haaland left open the possibility of leaving Etihad because he did not know what would happen in the future.
Before closing the contract with Mbappe, Real Madrid put Haaland in its sights. However, because they are about to welcome Mbappe, Los Blancos will give up pursuing Haaland in the 2024 summer market.
For his part, Haaland wants to go to La Liga in the future. Mr. Alf-Inge Haaland, Erling Haaland’s father, once revealed that the 23-year-old striker’s goal is to play in the top 5 European national leagues (England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France). After the Bundesliga and Premier League, the Norwegian international can move to La Liga, Serie A or Ligue 1.
Haaland’s reaction:
"Can
