It appeared as though McDaniels and Thompson got tangled up and were holding onto each other’s jerseys, but no punches were exchanged. Gobert attempted to break up the fight, but Green locked him in a headlock instead.

The Warriors won’t have Steph Curry on Tuesday night following his 38-point performance in a 116-110 loss to the Timberwolves on Sunday. On Sunday, Green and several Edwards engaged in some quality physical sparring, but the game never reached full physicality (apart from Chris Paul appearing to dive into Mike Conley’s legs).

Draymond Green Applies Sleeper Hold on Rudy Gobert Amidst Fracas Involving Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels

Tuesday night’s In-Season Tournament clash between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves turned intense within the first two minutes. The skirmish ignited when Chris Paul led a fast break following Anthony Edwards’ missed three-pointer, resulting in a sequence involving Draymond Green and Jaden McDaniels.

Jaden McDaniels appeared displeased as Klay Thompson made contact with him before the ball hit the ground. This initial contact quickly escalated into a full-blown brawl, with players from both teams joining the fray. Notably, Draymond Green rushed in, attempting to extricate Rudy Gobert from the commotion using a sleeper hold, a conspicuous moment in the chaotic scene.

Green’s rough handling of Gobert prompted the intervention of Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, and others from both sides, working to separate the feuding players. Following the ejections of Green, McDaniels, and Thompson for their roles in the altercation, the game resumed.
