Last week certainly wasn’t easy for Kyle Kuzma. The young player has left the Los Angeles Lakers, the team he has been with since the beginning of his career. Unhappy things continued to follow the 26-year-old midfielder when his car was recently stolen.

According to information from authorities, Kyle Kuzma’s Chevy Tahoe SUV was stolen in Hollywood. At about 1:30 a.m. on August 1 (local time), police found the car in a high-speed race.

During the chase with the authorities, the thief also used the former Lakers player’s vehicle to ram into a police car, injuring an officer and being hospitalized. Luckily, the officer was not too severely affected by the incident.

Not long after, some witnesses saw the suspect use this car to crash into the gate of Belmont High School in downtown Los Angeles. The thief was immediately detained and taken to the hospital for a leg injury.

Several reputable sources, including the NBA player’s manager, have confirmed that Kyle Kuzma is not involved in this illegal incident. When the car was stolen, the 26-year-old midfielder spent time with former teammate LeBron James and some other faces.

Indeed, the city of Los Angeles is saying goodbye to him in a not so memorable way. Just a few days ago, he was still attached when he was forced to leave his old team. While fans were not surprised to see Kuzma have to leave, many people still supported the Lakers’ decision.

Hopefully in a new city, new team, Kyle Kuzma will find a suitable role and shine even more.
