Lionel Messi’s private jet has reportedly emitted as much carbon dioxide in three months as the average French citizen would in 150 years, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

The jet allegedly completed 52 flights from June 1 to August 31. Thirty of these flights were intercontinental, including 14 trans-Atlantic flights, resulting in significant carbon emissions during this short period.

The total emissions for the jet over the three-month period were estimated to be 1,502 tons of carbon dioxide.

The flights included multiple trips between Argentina and the US, primarily to Miami, as well as one to New York. Messi flew between Buenos Aires and Miami five times and made three trips between Montevideo, Uruguay, and Miami in June.

There were also flights to and from Brazil, along with several between Europe and South America. Additionally, Messi flew to or from Barcelona seven times during the French Ligue 1 off-season.
