“Neymar is definitely out of action at the beginning of the new season. With injuries like Neymar’s, the time frame to return is usually 10 to 11 months. We think that in September or October, he will have can contribute to the team”, Sky Sports quoted Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus.
Last October, Neymar suffered a serious injury and has had to stop playing until now. Along with the latest sharing from Mr. Jesus, there is a high possibility that the Brazilian striker will have to stay in bed for a whole year. “Neymar’s career plummeted due to torture”, Goal wrote.
Despite being Brazil’s all-time highest scorer with 79 goals, Neymar will be absent from Copa America 2024. This is a major blow to the Selecao’s championship ambitions.
However, there is optimism about the former PSG star returning in time to participate in the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign in South America later this year. This brings a ray of hope to fans as well as teammates in the team.
Since moving to Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, the Brazilian striker’s contributions have been quite limited.
