Selena Gomez joined TikTok live on February 23 to reveal that she will be taking a hiatus after defending Taylor Swift on the app.

“I’m so happy. I’m so lucky. I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world and I couldn’t be happier. I’m fine. I love who I am. . I don’t care. I’m big. I don’t care. I love who I am,” Selena shared . “And yes, I’m going to take a moment from social media, because this is a bit silly”.

“And I’m 30 years old, I’m too old for this,” she added. “But I love you guys so much. And I’ll see you again soon. I’m taking a break from everything”.

The reason for the female singer’s pause seems to stem from an unearthed Tiktok video showing Hailey Bieber and Method Man, who once co-hosted Drop The Mic, targeting Taylor’s match-fixing songs. Swift. Method Man teased a “rap battle with the meanest lyrics about a celebrity since Taylor Swift’s last album,” prompting Hailey to imitate it, causing her to vomit.
