This Airbnb’s furry host is also your hiking guide!

There are plenty of luxury Airbnbs out there these days that come with special amenities — hot tubs, rooftop views or even fire pits. But none of those fancy places have anything on Foxglove Farm, an Airbnb with an extremely friendly cat named Cinamen as a host.

The Airbnb’s booking page describes Cinamen as the “concierge,” but many reviewers have expressed that Cinamen’s services go above and beyond what would be expected of a typical concierge.

“Cinamen was a great host who greeted us upon our arrival and kept us company throughout our stay,” one reviewer wrote.

Foxglove Farm is located right near the Appalachian Trail, so one of the main reasons people like to stay there is because they want to go hiking.

This past March, Sebastian Cocioba visited the Airbnb, and as many of Foxglove Farm’s guests do, Cocioba decided to go on a hike. He was surprised to find that not only did Cinamen join him on the hike, but she also led the way.

“She would complain when we took a wrong turn off the trail and knew the way back. Amazing cat,” Cocioba wrote on X. “I’ve never met a cat like her; [she’s] perfect. Listens to verbal commands, keeps up with your pace, leads when she feels necessary, pauses to take in sun rays which gave us a sense of rhythm to not just walk monotonously. Bliss.”

Cocioba is not the only guest who’s been treated to Cinamen’s expert hiking guide services.

“[Cinamen,] the cat, accompanied us on the hike and was a reliable tour guide,” a reviewer wrote.

Cinamen knows the trails so well, in fact, that she sometimes grows impatient with guests who are newer to the area.

“At times she judged the crap out of us for being too slow,” Cocioba wrote.

Despite her occasional frustrations, Cinamen grows so attached to everyone who passes through Foxglove Farm that she has a hard time saying goodbye.

“[The] cat knows no boundaries and almost came home with us,” another reviewer wrote.

For anyone interested in having a local show them around the mysterious Appalachian Trail, look no further than Cinamen, the famous hiking cat.
